The Cardinal

This is the first sketch I've drawn in probably almost a year. Not to mention my first ever attempt at original fan art.

The character is "The Cardinal" Reginald Dorak, the main antagonist in the story "The Procession of the Dead" by D.B. Shan. In the story he is described as being failry old (60 or 70), very intelligent, very thin, but muscular, being incredibly brutal when necessary (has killed people for looking at him the wrong way), and has a violent primal raging temper that is on an almost invisible fuse. He is also a master puppeteer, (I drew them in...barely) and has almost complete control over the city where he reigns. Oh yeah, he's pretty flippin' crazy as well.

While this isn't exactly the picture of him I had in my minds-eye, it's fairly close... he looks a litle bit more old and less crazy than I would have liked, but, alas, I haven't tapped into my full artistical potential yet.

So here you are, my first ever deviation, and original fan art as well.
